MegaUpload.com has been SHUT DOWN.
Its founder has been ARRESTED, along with several other individuals affiliated with the site’s operation.
The FBI, in cooperation with international law enforcement agencies, have executed search warrants, confiscated property, and shut down MegaUpload’s servers indefinitely.
The Justice Department was able to do this under the authority of existing laws.
The controversial SOPA/PIPA legislation has not yet been passed.
It has begun.
